Flux for Fashion Design — Multi-Reference Spreads Inside the Collection Workflow

Flux 2 Pro is the multi-reference image engine for fashion spreads — up to 10 reference images per request, keeping identity consistent across a full lookbook. Moire is the app where the spread becomes a collection.

TL;DR — Build a collection on Flux. Moire routes through Flux Klein, Flux Pro, and Flux Flex in a 7-stage workflow that takes a designer from brief to lookbook in a day — multi-reference spreads, brand kit, editorial direction, exports. The multi-reference engine is Black Forest Labs'. The workflow is Moire's.

What is Flux?

Black Forest Labs · Flux 2 Pro (32B params, up to 4MP, 10-image multi-reference)

Flux is Black Forest Labs' image model family. Flux 2 Pro (released November 2025) is a 32-billion parameter latent flow-matching model that generates and edits up to 4MP, accepts up to 10 reference images in a single request, and renders accurate text, hands, faces, and small details. It's the technical descendant of the Stable Diffusion lineage — built by the original SD core team — and is widely deployed for high-fidelity editorial and product work.

Where Flux excels

  • Multi-reference (up to 10 images per request) — the strongest model for keeping identity consistent across a full fashion spread.
  • Accurate hands, faces, fabrics, logos, and small objects where other models hallucinate.
  • 4MP native output — high enough resolution for editorial print without upscaling.

Where it falls short for fashion

  • Multi-reference solves visual identity across a spread. It doesn't solve the workflow around the spread — stages, lookbook, editorial video, brand kit, distribution.
  • Each generation is a single image. A collection is a brief, a design system, 12 looks, a lookbook, and a campaign. Flux has no concept of those stages.
  • No workflow output. The spread is the deliverable, not the collection.

How Moire fixes this

Moire is the app for building the collection. Flux renders the images; Moire holds the 7-stage workflow — brief, design, development, editorial, campaign, distribution, brand. At the editorial stage, Moire passes multi-reference anchors to Flux so a 12-look spread shares designer DNA across every frame. The brand kit, lookbook layout, and social exports come after, inside the same workflow. The engine is Flux's. The collection is Moire's.

Same prompt. Different output.

Editorial fashion shot: model in a 1970s Halston-style metallic separates look — fluid mercury-silver jersey, draped cowl top with dolman sleeves and a high-waisted trouser, full-length, studio backdrop

Raw Flux output: crinkled metallic-foil sweatshirt and boxy track pants with a plain crew neck and drop shoulders
Flux alone
Moire-enriched Flux output: draped cowl neckline, true dolman sleeve geometry, fluid jersey-weight metallic drape over a tailored trouser
Flux + Moire

Same prompt, same model. Without Moire: crinkled foil, plain crew neck, drop shoulders. With Moire: a draped cowl, true dolman sleeve geometry, and jersey-weight metallic drape Flux renders flawlessly once it has the right vocabulary.
